Oil Recovery & Sludge Volume Reduction

We have become specialists in the recovery of oil from hydrocarbon sludge
and are fully licensed by Petronas to transport and treat hydro carbon waste in Malaysia. Our fleet of mobile, containerised equipment that can be easily transported to any location and assembled on site including our pre-treatment tanks, pumps, heating systems and centrifuges. Our de-canter and tri-canter centrifuges start at a capacity of 2 M3/Hr with our top centrifuge units capable of handling up to 70 M3/Hr.

We have designed, constructed and built and operated sludge and slop treatment installations for major oil companies like Shell.

Contaminated Soil & Sand Washing
|
Soil washing is imperative to leave a site clean for future generations and we have provided services for companies all over the South East Asian region. In one incident an operator had accumulated 300m3 of contaminated sand which we were able to wash to a standard that could be used for landscape material.
Generally when a spill occurs the operator will remove the contaminated material and store it for subsequent remediation. Remediation generally requires the material to be thermally treated or washed with some form of surfactant to remove the contaminants from the grains of the minerals.

Unfortunately contamination of soil is not uncommon around processing facilities. But with the right treatment it doesn't have to be destructive for future generations

Hazmat & Mercury Waste

ESPI are able to safely handle, contain and dispose of any number of Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) that could be present in hydrocarbon production and process operations. We also provide advice for safe, effective mitigation and monitoring services of personnel and equipment.
HAZMAT often found in such processes include but are not limited to:
Mercury is considered particularly hazardous causing severe problems if exposed to the human body. Elemental Mercury is often found in the gas phase of the hydrocarbon production. The Mercury waste is either deposited in Two Phase Separation or a Mercury Sieve Vessel and shipped for processing.

ESPI has had vast experience removing mercury from process systems, containing it, shipping it under the Basel Accord to accept and treat mercury waste.
